What is the maximum speed ? |

In the same way that you would not feel comfortable riding a standard bicycle at 30 or 40 mph, the VeloSolex speed is electronically limited. The speed set-up depends on the local regulations in the various states. Many states limit the speed of motor assisted bikes to 20 mph. The VeloSolex engine can deliver much higher speeds in controlled environments. The designer of the VeloSolex factory in France, Denis Mazzili, told us that he participates in speed races (in a closed track) and he obtains speeds in excess of 80 mph. Obviously, these racing engines do not last as long as those of the standard VeloSolex.
