There are many things really nice about France; the foods, the wines, the fragrance of lavender from Provence and the excitement of going there. On July 15, 2012 a few French companies and organizations are getting together to celebrate a classic French icon, the Velosolex. L'Occitane the global French brand from Provence, D'Artagnan, Pernod Ricard, President Camembert, Crusty Bakery, Beaumarchais, Sensus Investment Management, the Alliance Francaise - French Institute and the Consulate General of France in New York will pay hommage to Velosolex and it's French cousins, the automobiles of Citroen. While driving around in New York City in a vintage French car may not be practical, riding a brand new Velosolex to get from Point 'A' to Point 'B' certainly is.
